Me first! Me first! Ok, some of my favorites: Gone With the Wind-- the movie takes all of the downs and misses the humor. Must read! Juvenile favorite: Watership Down, Bud not Buddy, Financial book: Your money or your life (Joseph Dominguez) Maybe I will suggest more later...
I need to start hitting up the library to check out some of these books. Umm...you've read practically everything! haha Have you read Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand? I like that one...not to mention it's a thick one to keep you busy during the summer (for maybe a day with the way you read!)
Thanks for the reviews, I wish more of my friends would review books they read.
I second Atlas Shrugged, it is one of my all time favorites. A couple other favorites are Ender's Game (I don't think I could be Truman's friend if I didn't list that one) and The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde. I read the Kite Runner on the recommendation of a friend and I think you would enjoy it. Probably similar to The Reluctant Fundamentalist, but with a better overall point/moral.
i have a couple of series' you would probably like!!! first is the pellinor series by alison croggon, the first book is called 'the naming', then you can see what the next one would be and so on. the other series is the attolia series by megan whalen turner, first book called 'the thief'...that one is a young adult series. i LOVE both of these series'!!!
Hi Crystal! A few books that I really enjoyed recently, and these are all over the place in terms of genre. The Riddle Master trilogy by Patricia A. McKillip. I really, really enjoyed the story and characters in these books; it is fantasy. The Hiding Place by Corrie ten Boom. It is the story of her experiences growing up, her role helping Jews in Holland in WWII, her experiences in prison and concentration camps, and the postwar work she did to help people recover and heal. Very powerful! The Anatomy of Peace by the Arbinger Institute. More of a self help, I read the others by the Arbinger Institute and really liked this one.
I don't know if you've read this series before but I think you should try out the Lady Juila Grey series by Deanna Raybourn. It was such a good series. You should try it! :)
