If you're looking for some Jane Austen-y reads, just go for the real thing. If you're looking to read something by Shannon Hale, you should read Princess Academy! It's about a poor girl who gets a chance to go to a school to become a princess. A great story that is easy to read and fun, too.

Austenland was pretty predictable, and I wasn't really sure why I was reading it. A girl who's obsessed with Austen gets to go on a 3 week vacation where she pretends to be in Austen times, and there's actors and period costumes to go with the whole thing. I didn't understand where the ending came from. The only redeeming factor was it's length--it took about an hour to read.
