I am nervous as I write this post. Brian, please still let me come to Mexico!!! I just didn't get this book. It might be a common theme with celebrated Latin literature (see my post on 100 Years of Solitude). This was a collection of short stories and weird essays that I just didn't get. I think they were supposed to make you think and be very very allegorical, but I just can't really get into that kind of writing. I'm glad to have read it though! I am on my way to being "well read".
